Freshmen
Counselors visit with 9th graders to help them get connected to O'Connor.
Building a Transcript
As a freshman, it is important for you to start building your Academic Record. Your academic record is the documentation of what you did in high school. Grades, extracurriculars, and volunteer work are all important for a student looking at attending a four year university.
The classes you take Freshman year account for one third of your GPA that will be seen by colleges! This year does matter so do the best that you can in all of your courses!
In our library, we have a tutoring center that is open during lunch. Your teacher will also offer morning and/or afternoon tutoring. Ask them when these are available.
